How did you know it was time for your joint replacement?

Approximately one year prior to surgery, I started experiencing discomfort in my right hip joint when walking, running and lifting objects.

How has having your hip/knee replacement changed your life?

I’m like a new person and back to my normal activities with no restrictions and this was within three months of my surgery. I was off pain medicine within three days after being discharged from the hospital. I went to physical therapy for six weeks and did great.

Would you recommend Dr. Hodrick to your friends and family?

Most definitely, the preoperative consultation was so thoroughly explained by Dr. Hodrick and staff. It put my mind at ease with full confidence that it would be a very successful surgery.

Would you do anything differently?

No, I was very confident in post-operative instructions of Dr. Hodrick and adhered to them. I felt this is why I had such a quick and successful recovery.

Was there anything special about Dr. Hodrick, SJRI or St. Thomas hospital that you would like to share?

Excellent staffing, very attentive care while in the hospital and very clean. Dr. Hodrick’s daily visits in a timely manner. Pre overnight stay arrangements were excellent. Great rooms great service.
